It was really sad to see 24 end in such way. The ground breaking series leaves the hero of many and the devil of a few fighting for his own freedom. How ironic huh?

Lesson learned, if those you do good don't appreciate it, move on and look for other pastures, else you'll end up beaten up, hurt and alone.

This world punishes good doers, as the old saying goes.

Hours 4 am to 6am: The rise of dark side Jack

This season is finally over.

Like in the previous season a new character was introduced, Milo's brother, he went to CTU to pict his brother's body but he looks like he wants to start a vendetta. When Nadia told him Milo died to save her life he didn't even blink, was he containing something, or this was a case of regular acting.

The other new character will be Chloe's baby (possibly). Is going to be interesting seeing Morris and Chloe rising a baby together. Chloe sure knows how to hack into the NSA server but those diapers sure will be a challenge for her.

Jack wasn't on his best shape this episode, he neutralized Chang with a grenade, not with his bare hands, left his dad thinking he is dead and didn't bring him to justice or check for his body. This was definetly not Jack Bauer. At least he said it at the beginning of this season, he is not cut for CTU's job anymore.

Agent Doyle got the short end of the stick when he fell for the booby trap. He seems to have a very bad injure in his eyes, will he come back to 24?, only the ratings and how the people liked him will tell.

President Plamer still remains absent of the scene and maybe out of the series. Following 24 philosophy to "let the time go" between seasons, possible we will see a new president, and have president Dwayne Palmer as an afterthought.

On the vice president I have to say that if Dwayne Plamer was lost, he can't find his own belly button. This guy has a security adviser, she told him not to trust sociopaths (fool me once...), and even though he threats to put her in jail when all reason was taking a walk in the park in front of the white house. I know politics have no cell brains (for what is worth), but 2 playing the president side by side had to be joke, doesn't it?

Buchanan and his wife got absolved so they can retire in peace in their country home in Vermont (those government positions sure pay well :)). This is also good bye for them.

Chang told Buchanan their people won't abandon him as the US government abandoned Jack, this could be a potential story line but I don't see how the audience will care a bit about it.

I can foresee Jack's father coming back from the "grave", remember there was still a boat with a beacon the Chinese submarine could pinpoint. Jack's father has more life on 24, is not a Nina but if we are not going to get Mandy back, he will be welcomed.

The ending with Jack going back to the shadows was kind of so-so finale. Ok, the guy is in love with Audrey, he promised to take care of her but he is still unsure after what Audrey's father told him. The secretary of defense surely had a good point about Jack "letting" his wife die when he let her to get involved with Jack's works, all of that is questionable but somehow valid, father's concerns I guess.

To conclude, I have to say I still stick with seasons 1 and 4 as the best ones. 24 still has to see another bad ass guy as Marwan and a plot like in the first season. Maybe the writers got way to cocky or they ran out of budget in the first 4 episodes of this season. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad season at all, it is just that it lacked of something.

But, if you haven't followed the 24 series, not to worry - I won't spoil anything by telling you where and what he studied and how he acquired his skills. His background is available on his official character page. But, I may spoil it for all of you when I illuminate the facts, as some portions of Bauer's history were virtually impossible to achieve.

Hour 2 to 3 am: CTU has to be powered by Microsoft Windows

On this episode the bad guys penetrated CTU, one more time. I'll never get tired to denounce how permeable CTU's building is. Seriously, since the first season they should have closed the whole thing for good. Anyways, the shocking part was learning the Chinese were after Jack's nephew and nobody else. The Chinese weren't smart enough to repair the micro controller, and hired Jack's father to repair it in exchange of his grandson, as weird as it sounds, that's what we have came to with 24, everybody deals with everybody.

Now what I cannot understand is, why they killed Milo?, it was like putting to much effort for a quite simple and easy task. Geez, they were kidnapings a kid, they were not taking down the US government. Farewell Milo, we never got to know you but you were kinda of a cool dude everybody at CTU could count on.

In Split-ville, population Chloe and Morris, everything is on track for a relationship wreckage, with both parts sticking the finger in the "you armed a nuclear device for the terrorists" wound, I foresee no possible reconciliation between these two.

The vice president 's mistress had a HARD time dealing with her lover for her to skip death row due treason. It was kinda funny knowing she was with him in bed for almost half an hour ( talking about mixing business with pleasure). Oh well, the whole set up is to get to know who is the Russian agent passing updates to Moscow. After such a good relation between the US and Russia (at least on 24), everything is falling into pieces for a computer board, and a mistress cheating the US vice-president with a traitor, who knew the "end of the world" would start in such a way?.

OK people, is 2 hours for 24 season 6 to go, the Chinese have the kid, the nuclear chip board and the secret recipe for a sweet and sour duck you would kill for. Is there any hope left?. Will 24 season 7 be about Jack combating terrorist with a stick in a post apocalyptic new stone age?. Will everybody learn president Palmer is not in a coma? (he is just faking it to avoid dealing with his disastrous government). Will Chloe turn into a hillbilly for her to forget her troublesome past?. This and more questions will be answered on 24 soon... stay tuned.

Hour 11 pm to 12 am: When the president of the US owes you a favor, you have the world in your hands

The Chinese revealed their intentions to get their hands on Russian nuclear bomb trigger technology for them to have an edge in a possible World War 3. They want Jack to deliver them an integrated circuit board from a tactical nuclear bomb in exchange of Audrey, who would imagine a piece of plastic having more value than a human life?

Jack got his wish granted to take the nuke's chip board to the Chinese in order to free Audrey. He is not going to take any chances, his plan is to destroy the board, himself and the Chinese troupe with some C4 he is going to bring along. Jack said it to the president and said it at the beginning of the season: he is willing to die for those things he loves and believes and more if his death serves a purpose.

Think this has to be the first time CTU intercepts Jack's plans to go rouge, if it wasn't for Chloe, he could have saved some time and some hassle, but you know Jack, being stubborn as he is pays off at the end. Mike Doyle ended up being tied to a fence and Jack is now on his merry way to free his love of his life.

President Dwayne finally gave the boot to the vice-president, if it wasn't for the president fading into another coma, the vice-president should be applying for a job in the corporate world at this moment.

Hey, the vice-president still got his signed resignation, all they have to do is take the letter to the attorney general and make the president of congress the president (I guess). And as a fail safe, Lennox still got the "Bunkergate" tape that could put the vice-president in jail, if he gets away with it, I really want to see it.

Hour 10 to 11 pm: You don't know what you are capable of till a nuke explodes in your backyard

I know, if a nuke explodes in your backyard you wouldn't be able to do anything at all, is just a figure of speech ;).

Back to the "stop the wackos business", President Palmer had enough of the diplomacy game and took justice in his hands sending a little flying gift to the "middle east" country, homeland of Fayed. After 17 hours of struggling with the crisis, the ambassador finally showed some willingness to collaborate before realizing he would be the representative of a government with no territory, at least one without nuclear radiation.

Fayed is no more!!!, go to hell Fayed!!!. Jack showed him who's the boss. You can't come to the Jack like that.

After Jack putting Fayed to dry, the nuclear threat was finally over, but it wasn't over there yet, a blast from the past comes to haunt Jack with some shocking news: Audrey is alive!!!, but in hands of the Chinese. Why are the Chinese coming back?, didn't they have enough of providing Jack with One Ton of Knuckle Sandwiches?. They got a good deal out of turning Jack back so, what else?, why trying to blackmail Jack with Audrey?. Better yet, where was CTU's intel when they got "proof" Audrey was dead in an attempt to rescue Jack in China?

On the side we got to see Milo getting distant with Nadia, why of that sudden change?. And once again we didn't get to see much of Morris and Chloe, but the little we got was on how sarcasm runs with this odd couple.

The cake of this episode goes to CTU fooling Fayed into thinking he was freed by a commando of a rebel cell from his motherland. It was the same technique they used to fool Jack into giving away the Chinese mole when he was imprisoned in China. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just search for the 24 pre-season trailer presented by Toyota. I'll see if I'm able to get it for your leisure.

Hour 9 to 10 pm: It's the spy game show

This episode was full of spy gadgets and trickery. From the infamous "reverse" hack on Nadia's terminal to Gredenko cutting his arm clean just to get rid off the GPS tracker. Is also worth to mention Mr. Lennox wireless microphone that almost pulled a "Bunkergate" and saved the day from the World War 3.

Agent Doyle regained Nadia's trust by showing how he could protect her beloved Milo from public embarrassment. Although Nadia got quite of a shake after being pointed out as a possible mole, she didn't let her emotions to interfere and made the decision. There is still the cast of a shadow over agent Doyle, his mysterious past and his real intentions.

With Fayed under CTU custody, I foresee this possible scenarios:

Wacky fanatic Fayed left in charge goes out and immolates with a nuke, leaving the other nuke available in the world market.
Wacky fanatic Fayed left in charge goes and negotiates Fayed's freedom in exchange of the 2 nukes.
Gredenko finds his way back to where the nukes are and takes control of the blast America till next week operation (only if he doesn't bleed to death).

I was kind of shocked seeing the president launching a nuclear missile towards Fayed's mother country (whichever that is). After watching the preview, I realized is all part of a plan just to get more "cooperation" from the prime minister. Seems like president Palmer realizes he is not going to be around any longer and some hard ball will get him an edge in the "negotiation" process and get some recognition from the cabinet "defectors".

Hour 7 to 8 pm: Fly by night drones

Is another nuke down, two to go.

Jack saves the day one more time applying his piloting skills. Although Jack crashed and burned, the nuke didn't go off. All that happened was a radioactive leak powerful enough to leave you as impotent as an United Nations army general.

Who patched the drone's pilot with CTU's computers?, was is it Milo?. He "helped" Nadia regain access to the system. In times of despair and confusion, the weak, the different and the outcasts are to blame, else ask the people from the unnamed country that are about t be blown till next week, courtesy of the trigger finger itching vice President.

We got to learn about Audrey Raines death in China. She was using "back channels" (didn't make that up, watch the episode) trying to free up Jack. The government was afraid to rescue Jack and a puny woman with well put pants got to courage to at least give it a try, tsk, tsk, tsk, CTU, shame on you.

Jack is now driven to avenge Audrey. Seems like a never ending loop for him. When we think he is done, another bomb goes off in his life. Hang in there Jack.

The comedic releif was provided by Chloe giving Morris a pasionate kiss just to check whether he was sober. After realizing what happened Morris said, CTU, you gotta love work here. I agree, CTU, love it or leave it, when they raise the lock down.

This episode introduces us to Mike Doyle, a new cocky control freak in CTU's field operations. Starting with the wrong foot, old Mike is in Milo's top list: Who I will send a live grenade for X-Mas. He might be good but being an ass to people just for the sake of "getting things done" is totally wrong, you attract bees with honey and nothing else.

Jack on the other hand, spent lots of time hiding from the army o wacky Russians that were after him, that was either a BIG basement or the guards were somehow "slow". Trying to call CTU to report Gredenko's location in the Mohave desert was at some point laughable, I'd buy the complete lock down, but consulate employees without cellphones?, seems they don't know the Soviet Russia tanked some years ago.

What did it take to stop a nuclear holocaust?, a call to a girlfriend. This will revolutionize the way to do world politics, forget the meaningless reunions at the U.N., get rid of expensive consulates and diplomatic envoys, give every first lady in the world a phone with great long distance rates and see how things will get done. Thanks Martha, you really shined on this episode, where the Vice-president failed, you conquered, way to go girl. And like a great matador you left the scene thrusting your kiwi knife on your ex, that my friends was THE exit.

Fayed delivered the nukes to Gredenko and a literally "Firebird" will soon cross the friendly skies. Who will be the lucky city: Paris (Texas), Reno (Nevada) or Branson (Missouri)?. Just as a technical fact, the drone they will use, codename Predator, can fly for up to 30 hours, that will cover a distance up to 6510 kms, do your math and see if you have to give a call to your real state broker.

And the end marks the departure of our "beloved" president Logan. Thy who kills by the sword, dies by the sword. We'll miss you NOT!!!!.

Hour 5 to 6 pm: In soviet Russia, consulate Jacks you

Not happy with the vacation at club Chinese Wall, Jack goes commando at the Russian consulate. His commitment to the job deserves our admiration, is either that or Jack developed a kinky sense. The tricky part of attacking the consulate wasn't facing lots of angry Russians armed to the tooth, but trying to call CTU to deliver an update on Gredenko's location, can you hear me now?.

President Logan as always doesn't accomplish too much, telling Jack the Russian consul was holding information was something Jack could figure out by himself.

Lennox understood the hard way, there is no way they will pin the bunker bombing to the government but Assad. All it takes is a guy that doesn't speak the language, although Assad was very well spoken, to put the scapegoat label on him.

Getting the Arabs blamed for the attacks is Gredenko's ultimate wet dream. As an extremist, he didn't put too much thought into his plan. There is no perfect crime, and there is no perfect war crime either, with his approach, all he will get is the tomb of his mom blown away to Siberia, because more sooner or later the Russians would pay for what he did.

The episode ends with a blast, we see Assad going down in flames, while the president gets a bath of shrapnel. Who would have known that so little liquid explosive could react in such violent way?.

Hour 4 to 5 pm: The return of the prodigious president

Our friend Logan comes back to 24, trying to redeem himself, I guess, and Jack had no other than believe him to get a good lead about Kredenko's whereabouts. Seems he will take the chance to pay a visit to his ex-wife, the way he saw the portrait said it all. For a moment I thought he would commit suicide after losing his job at he white house.

Dwayne finally grew up some gonads. Standing to whichever ambassador, telling him no cooperation will get his country a free visit from the guys in the Navy, not precisely singing the song that made he Village People famous.

Now the $64.000 question is: Why Jack's father flee the scene all of the sudden?. He killed Graem but spared Jack's life?. Phillips wasn't going to get anything from the kidnapping business, seems he realized of that and 'pulled a Houdini'. I know this won't be he last time we hear from Phillip, wait for a situation where the cavalry is needed, Phillip's militia will come out to save the day.

Morris seems to be having one heck of a bad hair day, with the jumping off the wagon and getting annoyed by Morris, Buchanan Milo and Nadia, he will need a long vacation after this day is over, is either that or going postal at CTU.

Hour 3 to 4 pm: Family is all you've got

Seems like Phillip understood what Jack told him, there is no empire left, only Josh, Marylin and Jack. In Phillip's words: "no life is worth what I've built...", but there are so many loopholes that will let his empire stay afloat, it doesn't matter how guilty he is, so, why crying over the small stuff?.

Milo sure did took one for the team. Playing a field agent going commando is a bad move when all you know is working with computers, he should at least got to get a vest before stepping out of CTU, now he will have the scar to remind him.

Morris an alcoholic?, geez, he picked the wrong day to start drinking again. Think he is being too hard on himself, sure he could find a way to leave Fayed empty handed, but you have to walk a mile on his shoes to really understand his actions. Chloe, Milo and Buchanan should do better job to help Morris, a pat on the back or a hug work wonders, it doesn't matter how busy they are.

At the end we see our old friend Ex-president Logan trying to get his cut out of today's happening. Logan has a knack for dealing with nukes that go in and out of the country, if he wasn't in jail he could be making a killing in the private security sector, but wait, he got to be a president ans he screwed it over, so never mind.

This episode was quite decent, sort kind of recess from the rushes we have experienced so far.

Sandra's "fiance" got beat up good, and that's for playing the "mole" without knowing the principal rule: "never get caught". It was kind of weird seeing all this operation going on, just to realize they were browsing the internet through a mobile phone's browser, I can visualize Chloe saying: "call me when you need to hack a real server with multiple layers of security, not to download ring tones off a cellphone.. duh!!"

Hayes quitting over such babble about letting Fayed go x numbers of months ago, the REAL big deal is to know who fed or misled CTU into thinking Assad was the culprit of the bombing attacks.

Talking about bombing, did they run out of martyrs?, I mean, they have been blowing up every possible target with explosive loaded men and all of the sudden they stopped?.

On the other hand, we saw this guy with the hot chick looking for somebody to program the trigger of a tactical nuclear weapon, if they come up with a guy on a working visa, I'm gonna flip for sure, think the next to blame would be the H1B visa program.

And finally we got to meet Jack's father, trying to solve the mess created by Graem. Is really funny seeing Graem talking about family support when he is the first one tying up his own father and own brother. We knew how bad Graem was, based on what we saw on season 5, but this is going way to far.

Now the weird thing, why Graem's men didn't overpower Jack, and waited to get the keys for the handcuffs.

What's next

If you saw next week's preview, you saw Jack beating the crap ou of Graem. Did Graem think Jack wouldn't free up himself?, for crying out loud, Jack got a president indicted, untying himself is something he learned in kindergarten.

Hour 10 to 11 am: All in the family

Logan's puppeteer, from season 5, happens to be nobody else than Jack's brother: Gray Bauer, if this didn't knock you off your socks, maybe you have to check back your pulse because you are DEAD!!!!, DEAD I TELL YOU.

Wow, what a twist I have to add, this is the kind of things that keep 24 on the top of its game. Now Jack has to add his own sibling and father to his list of suspects. Without the rewards of his own accomplishments, Jack's life surely would be hell.

Now talking about the other things happening on the show, we still have a little bit more of the same: a "president" that doesn't fit the pants, a white collar guy playing the mole, and lots and lots of CTU analysts consuming valuable oxygen. Stay put because these subplots are still cooking and look quite raw from this end of the screen.

On the Buchanan swallowing his pride, shaking hands with Assad, I'd say: what's the big deal?, CTU still got no game against Fayed, maybe when the day is over, Assad could be the "victim" of a "strange" (wink, wink) accident, but now they have to focus on capturing Fayed.

Back to the brotherly love Gray expressed about Jack, on letting the Chinese take "care" of him, I can understand he is pissed about his "deal" getting spoiled, but hey, he still makes some good living on the side, based on the house he owns and his designer clothes.

What is next

Could Jack's nephew be his son?, Jack already cheated on his wife Terry with Nina, and his sister in law looks quite hot, stay tuned for 24: General Hospital edition.

Oh the humanity!!!!, all what Jack has fought for is now down the toilet because of the incompetence of Wayne's administration. Seems like Jack is moving out of LA because now it is a Radio Active Zone, and I'm not talking about a hip hop campaign.

Hey Buchanan, please STFU, is the job too much for you?, call division and bring Alberta back or anybody else, he or she will do better than you.

Jack is just one man, he is not Superman, he needs a team of people to back him up and know what they are doing, if there is a secret potion to bring Tony and Michelle back from the dead, start using it N O W!!!!.

Is it now when they ask the ambassador about Assad good intentions?, there is people dying all over and is at this very moment when they ask for his opinion on Assad?, this is unbelievable!!!!, somebody wake me up, this is all a big nightmare sequence, Jack is still in a Chinese prison and the day hasn't started yet.

This season of 24 just got it's first tragic casualty: Curtis. He had it coming for trying to stand off Jack, Curtis could have waited till the end of the day to get his vendetta, but sadly, Assad is still useful for the investigation. Just always remember, the good things come to those who wait.

What is next

With the "great news" of four more nukes out there to obliterate the whole country, there is not much to say. I think at least 2 of those nuke will detonate, CTU has no game against Fayed, sorry but is true, Fayed keeps moving fast and Jack can barely keep up, are there reinforces coming?, I hope so, maybe the Germans or somebody else will show up to help Jack and hopefully save the day.

One more time Dwayne falls for it. This makes me wonder, how long is going to take before he realizes he has made the wrong choices?. How long is going to take before the damage becomes irreparable?. You don't negotiate with terrorists, period.

Curtis showed discontent for having Assad as an aide on the hunt for Fayed. The way he expressed his concerns Assad and pointing him as a murdered made me curious, what is it going on here?.

You know things are serious when the phrase "concentration camps" becomes vox populi. Well, giving it a second thought "concentration camps" are the right choice when the government keeps trusting unreliable sources and puts all the weight on the back of just one man: Jack.

This is definetly the "let the government screw with everything" season of 24. Buchanan ordering a suspect apprehension when he has enough C4 to make of Rhode Island a thing of the past, was just plain stupid, the best part came when he acted like "well he refused to turn himself in so he blew himself up", give me a break.

And top of the cake, they let a nuclear tech free and wiling to help the bad guy, CTU tech support is now a calling centre, no more cross checks and no more thinking two steps ahead of the enemy, it is like we'll cross that bridge once we get there.

What is next

With a terrorist playing the puppeteer with the government, a nuclear tech on the loose and like 50 people at CTU running up and down like crazy with nothing better to do, the door is wide open for the worst, run for the hills people.

Jack is back on the job after 2 years, and is taking care of business as he only knows.

If you want to catch a thieve you have to think like one, and getting Assad to work on catching Fayed seems like an obvious move. Think this is a new one for Jack, but the work needs to get done, there is no room from prejudices, and Jack knows it. Although if I was Assad I wouldn't turn my back on Jack.

Before even thinking that Jack is getting soft just because he thought the guy who betrayed Assad was telling the truth, just have in mind all the traumas Jack has on him: he lost his wife mostly because of him working at CTU, got betrayed by Nina (somebody he trusted), he got to see Mason die just to save him, he lost his friend and "boss" David Palmer, suffered an induced heart attack while on duty, got a 2 years paid vacation in club knuckles in China (all the beating he could have included), and lost his two best friends, Michelle and Tony. Even the strongest steel breaks with thermite.

The whole sequence on the metro train was simply awesome, the way Jack pushed the S.O.B. out of the train should get him another chip on his shoulder. For a minute I thought the train officer was going to pull Jack aside for not having a fare ticket with him, but common sense ruled over duty, and Jack took care of the threat sad not everybody out there is like that.

The comic relief goes to Milo and Morris fighting over Chloe. She has to be a real daemon in bed , because of the looks and mood swings of previous seasons, I wouldn't have touched her with a 10 feet pole.

Now this Ahmed (aka Kumar :D) , after being helped from being beat by his front neighbor, he pulls a gun on his kid, what a jerk. When you need an example on how screwed one has to be to put everything that matters for a "cause", you can only refer to this guy.

More "new" characters

Sandra Palmer, the sister of the president working for the Islamic-American Alliance?, Dwayne doesn't know where he is stepping onto.

Mr. Albazani, the Islamic-American Alliance leader in love with Sandra Palmer?, my tingling senses tell me something will happen to him and Sandra will screw a major operation, only wait seated.

What's next

A guy in the FBI will get his ass kicked when the day is over, messing with the sister of the president is a big No-No for a career in the government.

Another leprechaun to chase could lead Jack the big pot of gold...

On this season, CTU's only job will be to annoy Jack, the way they questioned him on Assad being the main culprit tells one of two things, they want to cover their asses on the assessments they provided to the president or they are simply stupid. Nobody that spends $25.000.000 + whatever they gave to the Chinese should never ever doubt the "product" they are getting, in this case Jack, good till the last drop.

Hey over there, welcome back, one more year, one more season of 24 :), thanks for coming by to share my 24 experience, hope we have a good time with I consider the BEST drama on television.

First I have to say wow!!!, what a premise for a first episode!!!. You have to ask yourself, what else could 24 be about?, they have covered almost everything: viruses, bombs, treason, conspiracy, kidnappings and stand offs left and right, well the simple answer to that was what we saw: a helluva twist. The way Fayed fooled everyone and how that almost got Jack killed was priceless, I have to say I was confused the first 30 minutes but after that I was all WTF!!!.

A government complying with terrorists demands?, for those that always questioned that in lieu of "saving lives", this episode has to be an eye opener, terrorists have no word and you cannot trust them. Sure there are situations where "negotiations" happen in order to get something, is not like a fairy tale out there, but c'mon!!!.

Wayne Palmer as a president???, what a terrible joke, we already went through Logan's administration (he showed that he wasn't that dumb), to now go with a guy that rules with his guts. Seriously, is good to have the power of a president but sure takes more than "love for the people" to rule, seems to me Wayne will taint his brother name rather than anything else for just one plain reason: David Palmer would never let Jack get killed, he aknowledged Jack's sacrifices for the safety of the country to the point of not letting the Chinese lay a hand on him with all the diplomatic consequences on sight.

Now let's talk about the reliable sources of Assad being the one behind the US attacks, where did they get such "reliable" information?, from an internet forum?. I know there is a margin for error in counter terrorism investigations, but what we saw on this episode takes the cake.

New Season New/Revamped characters.

Chloe, looking hot and good!!!!. Will she sell out to the middle management status quo?, she already "compromised" the "kill Jack, lets see what happen operation" but lets see.

Morris, the suave smooth operator seems to be the comic relief for this season.

Nadia, hot mama trying to follow Michelle's footsteps?.

Karen Hayes married to Buchanan?, talking about workplace relationships.

Milo, a "pothead" in middle management?, well, seems like a good call.

Thomas Lennox, the "politic" always has to be present in the series and he is right on track in the annoying department.

What's next

Maybe yet another mole in CTU?, somebody fed the info about Assad, and did a great job I have to say. These days you have to fool a lot of cross checks to make anything believable to a lot of eyes, is either that or those in charge are lazy.

What's in the horizon?, Fayed will get killed by Jack, I'd say bare handed. Jack is a guy with values and was willing to die for them, just imagine betraying that trust as Fayed did, I don't want to be in his shoes.

Hour 5 to 7 am: See what happens when you don't think of the Chinese

This was something that hanged on along the whole season, what happened to the Chinese and the previous season of 24?, well, as I mentioned before, many were the errors made by the government in their hunt for Jack, public search alerts, apbs, you name it, they actually placed a neon sign over Jack saying "HE IS HERE". It was kind of realistic but more dramatic could have been a diplomatic turmoil, without Palmer I want to think what else than run for the hills current politicians on 24 could come up with.

I thought it was the end for Jack all beaten and bruised (nice make up!!!), there have been so many rumors on Kiefer leaving the show and that was something to expect but no, they showed the ship going to Shanghai (at least that is where the ship is from), way to end the season.

I think the Chinese will use Jack as political Leverage, sure they will beat the crap out of him but they won't kill him. Also the government won't go "mission impossible" on him saying" "we don't know that dude". Is interesting how this formula could work, maybe they will take Jack away from the show on the first half of next season to measure if things can carry on, who knows, lets wait and see.

Morris (Chloe's ex) is pushed into the last minutes of the show, maybe as a way to introduce the suave guy for the next season, is more than obvious he will exploit Chloe's state of vulnerability to go back with her.

Buckanan and Hayes together?, another married couple in 24 seems like a little repetitive, that fit for Tony and Michelle and it is something that has been done, don't see much of a future on it.

Martha took two for the teams, way to go Marty, it wasn't going to bed with her awful hubby or being punched by him, she stayed there till the last minute, it seemed like everything was lost but Jack's ingenuity saved the day. Really, you have to be 1000% percent of what you are doing if facing treason in the US is what expects you from your doings.

Jack has to be the most straight and frank son of a bitch out there, saying to Henderson that he wasn't letting him go with that serious face of him was once of those classical moments of 24 that will remain for posterity. Finally Jack got the last laugh duping Henderson with the unloaded gun, it was time for Jack to get his score even, "patriot my ass" should have thought Jack, "you killed my friend and you sure are gonna pay for it".

At the end was a pretty decent season finale, although I still hold seasons 1 and 4 as my favorites but that is a particular choice for any fan out there. Thank you for reading my blog and sharing my 24 season 5 experience, I'll keep posting some thoughts pics and comments till next season, this is not over yet, the clock is still ticking .....

Hour 3 to 4 am: A sad day for president Logan

It was a really sad day for president Logan, poor guy, under the stress of "serving his country" I couldn't feel more sorry for him, even more because from all the cellular carriers out there, he chose the one that doesn't drop calls or have a small area of coverage, THAT really kept the guy from blowing his head off and put an end to his miserable mandate, it was really a shame.

Chloe got had by Miles, he cleverly distracted Chloe and placed a "thing-a-magic" close to the recording and sent it to the land of no more. Tsun Tsu recommends: "never underestimate your opponent" and the first rule of IT administration: "always make a backup", this girl can hack her way through the pentagon if she wants but doesn't know how to handle a tape recording, Chloe, you got an F.

Was it to hard for jack to copy the recording to his PDA?, at least he duped Theo from getting the "NOC" list of US operatives around the world.

And once more CTU gets infiltrated, Bierko got away with help of those that went to pick him up to translate him to another facility, think is all over for CTU, hope next season we see a new agency in a NEW place for god sakes, this thing with the penetrations is getting old. I agree that section 1 got busted but things with CTU are getting out of hand.

ON THE NEXT 24

Agent Pierce is seen tied to a chair and president Logan is talking to him, bondage on 24?, soooo kinky. Jack's face after realizing he doesn't have proof against president Logan was priceless, he got nothing, all I have to say to Jack about Logan is: "4 more years... 4 more years....."

Hour 12 to 1 am: "I'll do it for my country"

For a moment there I thought Audrey's father was going to cut a deal with president Logan. So much patriotism from him really surprises these days, I know there are politics as good as him but they don't have the power, go figure. Now on the scene where he beats Jacks senseless I was like: "wow, look the senior go", the secretary of defense must have some training as a green beret or something, Jack never knew what hit him. But on the keeping the tape in a safe place he slipped big time, safe place is a box with all the security gadgets you can think of not the pocket of one of your bodyguards.

Jack showing weakness before Henderson?, well, I think he did, he didn't have to give Henderson the recording, Jack has left people die for less.

Mike Novick is finally back, I was partially wrong blaming him on having some participation on this season plot, I say partially because till this season is not over I won't be able to tell.

Finally somebody thought of the Chinese, way after posting Jack's mug shots with the police and other enforcement agencies, president Logan wants to keep everything about Jack under wraps. I don't know who was stupider, president Logan for saying such thing or Mike for swallowing all of that without questioning.

Chloe a pickpoket?, somebody tell me what this girl is not able to do, way to go Chloe!!!!, escaping from CTU without raising anyone's attention or an alarm is something even Jack have been able to do.

THE DYST COMMENT:

Where Chloe got that jeep liberty from?, you can see she owns a Toyota prius at the beginning of the season but she never used it to get to CTU.

The helicopter Henderson used to go and try to catch Jack is the same CTU helicopter we have seen before but without the decals, you can tell from the id on the tail of the helicopter, I'll post a capture for you to see it.

ON THE NEXT 24:

Where is agent Pierce?, Martha got his phone at the stable for them to meet but no signs of him at all neither on the preview. And once again Herderson and Jack meet again, Jack is down by 3 against Henderson so he has to work hard to redeem himself.

Despite the fact there is a confessed killer statement on president Palmer death, president Logan orders the capture of Jack because of "new evidence". This really disoriented everybody but orders are order and nobody will question the boss even when he seems crazier than a goat.

Evelyn and her daughter must be having a "big sleep" after Henderson's visit, I don't know how many times I have the write about the senseless killings on this season but at least they didn't show the carnage.

The part where they show NSA agents being duped by Audrey was priceless, they say CTU did an aweful job but they are not pulling anything good either.

Jacks never stops to amaze me, the idea to get the cops involved to create a diversion and escape was one more proof that Jack Bauer IS the man.

THE DYST COMMENT:

This is mostly what you didn't see, Mike Novick was out on this episode too, could he be the puppeteer?, what could he have against president Logan?

Finally we got to know who is behind this day events: President Logan, better rephrase that, President Logan?????, he surely fooled a lot of people with his awkward ways and the buffoon face, but, does it make sense?, for me the answer is a 50-50 split yes and no, yes because the guy is a tool and somebody is using him, that's a fact, never forget he asked President Palmer for help at the half of season 4, the guy can't think for himself so someone else is doing the thinking, president Logan surely will reap from the benefits of his "master plan" and that is a good REASON with dollars written all over. On the no side I have to say I didn't like the misdirection in the plot pointing to the vice president and not showing in any subtle way how the president was moving his pieces or how he was gathering information, other thing is why he let CTU get involved in the main investigation knowing how effective CTU was, at the end it seems to me he is sweating on the small stuff pulling out his plan, way too much hassle in my humble opinion.

It also seems Audrey lost the battle and the entire war, she may got to keep Chloe around and help Jack but she signed CTU's death sentence. Some serious political stuff, that haven't happened in real life for many years, need to occur for CTU go back to business, that may involve Audrey and her father quitting to their jobs due to misjudgment on the CTU affair, that would invalidate their signed assessment but that is something yet to be seen, nobody gives up that power that easy.

And again Henderson gets away, this guy has more luck than a four leaves clover, running from a rain of bullets delivered by Jack and Dwayne he keeps going and going and going as the energizer bunny. It must be a buyers market for mercenaries out there, he promised president Logan to assemble another team and finish what is yet to be done.

How going against the president could conflict with Jack's principles?. Jack is a company man, he has given up his entire life to help the presidential office, he even turned himself to Logan after apprehending "Walt the Weasel", will he try to put president Logan in jail?, will he pull one of his "maneuvers" to force Logan's resignation? Or will president Logan deliver Jack to the Chinese?.

And where in the retreat camp is Mike Novick?, have been him the guy feeding Logan with info?, remember Mike is VERY good getting updates and finding what is going on, a personal hunch tells me Jack will end up killing Mike.

THE NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! FACTOR:

It was more cursing than noooo!!!! what I yelled after knowing president Logan was the big cheese behind this season's plot. Henderson told Jack about opening a pandora's box, I'd say more like a cuckoo's clock.

24 imitating life?, I don't wanna get political here but the coincidences are too many to ignore, 24 writers use great technical consultants and seems political advisors are on their team too.

ON THE NEXT 24 :

You can see Jack in a "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid movie" final scene like situation, trying to leave a bank with a real army waiting for him outside is not goint to be an easy one for Jack, but when it doesn't eh?. I can hear Jack saying: "Chloe find me and exit..." and Chloe replying" "damn Jack I'm a computer analyst not the operator from the Matrix movie".

Hour 9 to 10 pm: Playing mind games

I don't know what it was but between the explosions, the tension, the original music score and the plot twists, this episode of 24 delivered a big can of entertainment and action like never before, Bravo!!!. This episode is a keeper for the fan out there.

Now comes to picture another wacky girl for CTU's IT Team, her name is Sheri Rothenberg, she is replacing Edgar Stiles during the contingency plan to keep CTU afloat. Another cuckoo to the zany nest, this girl sees sexual harassment anywhere, she is not THAT hot to be so pretentious but I think is the way she uses to cover for her incompetence. She surely makes Chloe look better in EVERY possible aspect. The only point she has on her favor is that knows her chemistry.

Sun-Tzu and the Art of War had it clear: "know the enemy than thyself". Henderson once again outsmarts Jack playing with his mind, he shot to the heart with what I call "Jack's girl syndrome maneuver". As I mentioned in the past post, Nina's relation with Jack marked him for life, Henderson exploited this Jack's weakness to buy some time and cause some BIG confusion. Sorry Jack but you have to say "touche Henderson".

Audrey slept with "Walt the Waesel"?, wow!!!, this is Dynasty alright. Now we know that the face she had at the beginning of this season wasn't surprise or commotion over Jack's reappearance, it was a "how the heck I'm gonna justify myself" attitude. Sure she didn't want to tell Jack because she was ashamed Walt resulted to be a traitor, superb excuse flawlessly pulled Audrey ;).

And once again in 24 the messenger is knocked down, Dwayne Palmer got hit unconscious after the RPG Henderson's henchmen used to try to put him and agent Pierce out. They must change the protocol in 24: "if you have something to say, say it now, write it on your chest with an ice pick/tatoo or post it on your blog else you'll be a death wish magnet". How the heck Henserson knew Dwayne was on his way to the presidential camp?, two possibilities, somebody in the army or somebody at the camp. How the henchmen were in place and ready is the other big question.

Hell I wouldn't.

ON THE NEXT 24:

Jack is nowhere to be seen but surely he made it out of the gas plant inferno, didn't he?.

With the nerve gas gone the story line seems to divert to the conspiracy against Logan's presidency. Under the veil of securing the interests of the nation in the future, the possibilities are endless: oil interests, military interests, power or destroying the US from within are just a few ideas on what could happen on 24 during this seasons and the next to come. President Palmer where are you!!!!, come back from the dead!!!!.

The short of the guys from NSA arriving to CTU's offices was kinda funny, it was like a The Apprentice cut scene.

Hour 8 to 9 pm: Remember, the Germans Never Forget

The Germans join to the "beaten by Jack Bauer" club, Theo (The German special agent) looked really pissed at Jack's betray, the guy lost the hot girl and probably will lose his job when he reports back to office empty handed. Remember Nina's contact in Germany? (season 1), well, seems she will get a new recruit working pro bono if her plan involves taking Jack out of the picture.

It doesn't matter how tough the situation is, Jack is able to take control of the situation when it seems the opposite. The idea to fool Theo with a bait and switch trick using the WET list stamped a big L on Theo's forehead.

Now Dwayne Palmer comes back to picture to deliver "an important message" to agent Pierce, why he didn't go to Jack?, they already established a bond at the beginning of this day and they agreed to contact each other if they found something about what president Palmer knew. Agent Pierce is a company man and I don't think he will be able to help Dwayne at all.

Chloe was the bomb exploiting a backdoor to the NSA and bypassing and extra layer of security in record time, she is indeed a mean computer hacking machine. Try that in real life and you'll get an army of federal agents knocking down your door to give you a no return ticket to Guantamo Bay.

THE DYST COMMENT:

The vice president saying "the situation is under in my control" and then Dwayne Palmer being taken out of the road just minutes after him learning Dwayne was on his way to the camp where the president is.

Logan appoints Haynes to CTU to make of it a thing of the past and the vice president got his military curfew wish granted, the pieces of the puzzle are getiing in place and a hostile take over of the presidential chair could come very soon.

THE TINP COMMENT:

How Colette was able to drive across town during a military curfew?. The most amazing thing was doing that riding a RED Lexus SC, boy that car must be equipped with a cloak device that won't call anyone's attention when it goes by. Being able to make it to Bierko's safe house was possible but going to Van Nuys airport was kind of improbable.

THE NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! FACTOR:

This definitely goes to this epidose cliffhanger: Colette telling Jack Audrey was the one that sold the schematics to her, WTF!!!!!, Audrey???. If this is true the pattern is clear: every girl that sleeps with Jack will commit treason when they have the chance.

For a moment I thought Audrey was tricked on delivering the schematics but Colette said "seems she has a price". What reason could Audrey have?.

ON THE NEXT 24:

Is gonna be a bad hour for Audrey, the sneak peek of the scene in the interrogation room showed once more what everyone knows: "Jack will talk the talk and walk the walk".

Who's the guy chasing Dwayne in the woods?, he looks like agent Pierce, let's hope he is not part of the conspiracy revolt going on in 24.

At first I didn't believe my eyes, then after recovering from the shock of seeing Tony dead I yelled: "what the hell is going on in 24!!!!!". I can buy Lynn's death but Tony????, WTF, OMG, what the hell and %@&^%&*!%$*(&@% was on the writers minds. I've been writing about death since the beginning of this season but I think this situation is getting out of control, is either that or this is 24: Apocalypse.

Lynn redeemed himself after saving the rest of CTU survivors, the scene of the guard we really didn't have the chance to know was very moving. You got to love working at CTU, everyone there is self sufficient, when Lynn started working on the computer without asking Chloe was a first one, a manager that knows how to handle a computer, he was a competent manager, these days most of them don't know how to open/handle their emails.

Chloe brought back herself after Edgar's death to put everyone in that room back in line. Kim's fiance got hit and Kim got virtually slapped by her, the lesson of the story was: "don't piss this woman when she is upset", the more you know.

For a moment Jack lost it, I thought he was going to kill Kim's fiance: "you are 20 years older than she is I know exactly what you are doing", talking about a protective father, his attitude really scared the bejezus out of Chloe, "fine I'll get back to work if everyone can just relax" she said. Jack makes the kind of manager you don't want as a boss, either you get the work done or is the highway for you, in a literal way.

And Martha cares more about her husband political career than the lives of the citizens?, he never has had a career in first place, the guy got in office because the real president got into a coma after an attack to Air Force 1. I know this is how politics are handled these days, mostly all politics think: "better me than the people I represent", cool they put some realism on 24 but sticking the finger in the wound and moving it was way to much IMHO. Seems is every man for himself, either you know people in the government that will alert you of something bad coming or you are dead meat.

And a new sheriff is coming to town, Karen Hays. His assistant asking for his people to be in place means one of many things: Chloe will get sent to the bench, Jack will lose people to trust to and whoever is in the "pandora's box" wants everything under his/her control.

Finally on the CTU building attack, they HAVE to move it's location for the next season else I don't know how they will be able to hire new personnel. I can imagine it when the new prospects are interviewed:

interviewer: "do you have any question".
prospect: "sure, wasn't this the building that got hit with a bomb?".
interviewer: "I cannot lie, yes".
prospect: "wasn't this the building where some 50 people die after an attack with nerve gas?".
interviewer: "you have done your research, I like you, sadly it did happened here".
prospect: "and I will get $37.000 a year to start, right?".
interviewer: "yes that's what is established for new recruits".
prospect: "well screw this job, I'll take an offer in San Francisco with a dot com, I'll get more money and I'll be far enough from L.A. to make sure I'll see the light when I'm 65 and retire, good bye".
interviewer: "wait we drive cool cars, got high tech equipment and you get hot coffee served at your desk....."

Tony's death was for me like the world coming to an end. How the heck Herderson induced a coma like state on him is still a puzzle for me. Whatever Tony had to say to Jack is gone with him. A 10 out of 10.

This episode was full of drama, Kim talking to her undead father, Martha giving her support to her husband, People at CTU falling like flies, Lynn knowing his sister was dead and Tony learning that Henderson is one of the masterminds of the day events couldn't bring more tears to 24 in just ONE episode.

The vice president idea of declaring martial law is not that bad at all, IF you want to save the lives of the citizens that would be the right thing to do. Mike intervention and questioning of this plan is giving me serious thoughts about him, why would you stop a plan that sounds reasonable when you don't have any idea about where some dangerous stuff is, why you would put so much effort on telling Martha to give her husband a second chance?. Mike you are onto something, could you be inside the pandora's box Henderson talked about?.

Kim Bauer returns but keeps being the hard to deal brat we saw in season one, defying and questioning the actions of her father after all he has been through was very selfish of her (AGAIN). At least Chloe gave her a reality check after proving that all of those who knew Jack was alive were dead or close to, I know what she was thinking, yes Kim, there is a Santa Claus and you are an idiot. Definitely some people never change.

Poor old good Edgar, seeing him victim of the nerve gas put a knot in my throat, Chloe's face said it all, you don't miss a person until he/she is no more. This whole situation reminds me of those who die in their line of duty, they keep our way of life and many times they do their job so good that we don't even notice. When you do things the right way it seems you didn't do anything at all. My respects for all of them.

McGill gets another nomination for the Darwin awards after finally reporting his missing keycard , "sure, it was like 4 hour ago but at least I'm reporting it" or something like that. Lynn you didn't lose your frequent flyer card, it was a highly sensitive security access card. I know you wanted to send all packing but letting them being killed like lab rats is unforgivable, hope you have your resign letter ready although it won't be of any use at the federal prison I hope you are headed. Your error put a lot of people in the obituaries, hope you can sleep well from now on.

Although the hit to CTU was expected, seeing all those people dying (Edgar and Carrie included) and Chloe busting her ass to isolate as many areas as possible was quite tense. A 9 out 10.

ON THE NEXT 24:

Placing Henderson and Tony in the same room could not get 24 better, what is gonna stop Tony from getting his vendetta against Henderson is the $64.000 question. I don't think Jack could make Tony think different, sure they are friends but Jack is kinda liable of Michele death. Also remember there is still something Tony want to tell Jack, what could it be may be answered on the next episode, or the next or the one next to it, but at some point we will know it (I hope).

Tony comes out of the mend and sadly realizes the death of Michele, poor Tony, he has been a good partner, a professional and a great friend. Good people shouldn't suffer this way.

Martha, better for you to get back to the medication, thinking your husband was going to prevent the attack from happening because you were on the limo was crazy, maybe not as you because you only suffer of "depression and anxiety", according your husband words. Who has you been married all these years to?, don't you realize your husband has some kind of narrow mind at crisis resolving?. Dear, if after all these years you don't know who is by your side, put yourself together and get lawyer to get a divorce, for your own good and safety I mean.

Mike saying "whatever didn't happen make sure doesn't happen again" to agent pierce was hilarious, C'mon, agent Pierce was holding hands with Martha, what's wrong with that?, this is the 21st century not the 30's.

Henderson and his wife took care of Kim after Jack's supposed death?, wow!!! that should has felt like a ton of bricks falling on Jack.

Henderson is really cuckoo, letting a dear one suffer for things he did was very low of him. What secret could be so important to send everyone else to heck?. He should cut a deal and get a life, intangible things like weird patriotism doesn't give you hug or takes care of you, get a grip Henderson, put a stop to all this nonsense.

Curtis sure ran that canister at the hospital like a hot potato. I don't know you but if I see a lot of cops with gas masks running with an estrange object in their hands, I'd probably out run them in the opposite direction, don't wait to see the guys that yell "clean the hallway", if they say so is for a good reason.

Lynn's sister and her boyfriend got $20.000 for the key card in two leaded payments, there in no such thing as easy money or a terrorist check book, tough luck but they had it coming.

The game of cat and mouse Chloe, Edgar and Audrey played against Lynn was very funny, for a moment I thought I was watching an episode of Dilbert, Lynn fits the profile of a pointed hairy boss to perfection. Audrey pulled the section 112 card a little bit late but at least she got it right with Curtis' help.

Actually I don't think you have to be "crazy" to be replaced, but if you crack under pressure as Lynn did it should be more than enough for anyone better fit to take control of the situation and your position.

I started to notice how president Logan character is fitting in this whole situation. On previous 24s the president had some specific weight but somehow it was portrayed as a clockwork almost perfect persona, with president Logan is all the opposite, this guy commits errors, makes bad judgments and plays things by ear, those characteristics surely give the character more realism, it has been a good call by the producers of the show after all.

The ambush sequence was very cool, the show is putting every resource possible to deliver heart pumping scenes at movie quality. I laughed at the terrorists shooting and flaming the armored car president Suvarov, his wife and Martha were. C'mon guys where did you get your terrorist diploma?, from a cereal box?.

The story line for this episode includes facts from season 1, although Mason and Nina are more than dead Henderson played his card very well against Jack, he got fooled but that was bound to happen, after all he is human.

Seems that all this season crisis is just a vendetta against CTU and the government. I barely understand it but working for a government contractor, making good money and having a sexy secretary doesn't cut it to throw all of that to hell just to get some satisfaction, oh well, to each their own.

THE NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! FACTOR:

When I saw agent Pierce down after the ambush I thought: "What the hell is going on? Are they gonna take Pierce out too?", I know the good die young but please spare them. Anyhoo, another great moment for 24, an 8 out of 10.

DYST COMMENT:

Could it be the girl on the phone Mandy?, I don't think it was Henderson's secretary. How the vendetta against the US fits with the Russian terrorist is still to come, apparently they are being played.

ON THE NEXT 24:

Kim Bauer is back, Tony comes out from the mend, the Russian terrorists will attack and I forgot to close the back door of the house. Anything can happen on the next 2 hours of 24, it has to be some serious stuff coming on for FOX showing 2 episodes back to back.

We don't have president Palmer anymore but Martha is filling the gap to the extent of her reach, sending a couple of persons to an ambush is wrong in so many levels that it defies the reasoning of president Logan. Maybe she is riding the motorcade with the Russian president to buy some time, call the attention of her husband or trying to even the playfield if the attack is successful, at least people will say or think that if the first lady was a victim of such attack there was nothing Logan office could do to avoid it.

McGill has officially lost it, he is running up and down, left and right without making any sense. Playing big brother over 100 people in a time of crisis should be the last of his priorities, at least Bucanan is clear in getting the situation resolved but pointing fingers at people won't bring the canisters back.

President Logan reaches a new low on this episode, considering to give the terrorists the route of the Russian president motorcade without getting anything in exchange gives him the old fashioned donkey ears. C'mon president Logan, at least you could have gotten the canisters instead of trusting to the word of terrorists, sure they claimed their bone was with Russia but what guarantees they won't go cuckoo?. Seriously, a SAT test should be mandatory for those who want to seat on the presidential chair, at least for the good of the country.

Wonder why CTU didn't look for time shifted satellite imagery of the deposit where Erwick was?, they need to get possible clues like license plates or car makes that could give them a lead. Actually nobody put too much of a thought of where the canisters could be on this episode.

Who is the person in the government that gave Nathanson the clearance to access encrypted DOD hard drives is a good question, that same person gave Spencer a post at CTU. Walt "The Weasel" was a middle man and president Logan was too dumb to come with such a plan. One of my favorite suspects is Mike Novick, remember he turned his back on president Palmer, assuring oil supplies for the US has dollars written all over and I don't think Mike will continue being the server of any other president.

THE DYST COMMENT

Why Mike Novick was talking with the terrorist?, wasn't the president supposed to tell the terrorist the route of the motorcade?.

This episode really started fast on the twists, the sudden change of command from the terrorists side was very dramatic. Erwich and Nathanson got what they deserved for being loose cannons. We didn't have the chance to meet the rest of the people that got killed but this sure was a fast "clean the house" kind of operation. This is a 7 out of 10.

Good to see the creators still have the potential to surprise the audience in the most unconceivable ways.

Jack cleverly exploited the fact of the terrorists didn't know how Russler looked to have them at an arm reach. Knowledge is power.

Tough day in the office for CTU and Jack, it is frustrating seeing your efforts not going as good as you expect. It definitely was an error letting the terrorist going that far with the gas, CTU could have captured them for interrogation and then set Erwich up.

McGill started good but now is going down, considering to spare the lives of children was VERY low of him. Jack tried to manage the situation but he kept pushing on the gas being released. Misleading the president that needs help tying his shoes wasn't very clever either. What if it is you or me in that mall at that time?, I don't want someone in office getting me the wood suit because he is incapable of looking for alternatives and solutions. Bucanan precense once again proved to be useless.

Mike you old fox, everything is going your way, it seems you can buy that big Yatch or plan for a wealthy retirement, your office just dodged one bullet capable of killing Godzilla itself.

Sooooo Martha, you were saying what about who?. I don't criticize you, the truth has to come out, I'm all up for that but hurting your friends in the process is not good either, tough call Martha, hope things get better for your from now on.

Well at the end they got to get Polakov's cell phone and from there they can get to where Erwich is, seasons 1 and 4 showed how this is possible and it should be easier this time because the terrorists don't use any kind of encryption.

20 people join to the casualties on this season. Geez this has been quite of massacre. See what happens when good politicians like Palmer are not in office.

THE NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! FACTOR:

This was a solid 8 out of 10, I don't know what it was, the gas being released or Jack walking itowards a time bomb. When the gas got released I was yelling: "Oh my god they are killing Jack, you bastards!!!!", good he pulled a move with the antenna to get the keys for his handcuffs and get released.

When I saw Erwick waiting outside for CTU and Jack to go inside the deposit I thought he was activating a bomb remotely, but Polakov ended blowing his head off, Russian terrorists inmolating themselves?, go figure.

ON THE NEXT 24

The mastermind of the attacks helping Jack to find the canisters?, that's a new one, maybe he is only interested to hit Russia and not the U.S., talking about ethics and values maybe?, who knows, but looks like a great episode, can't wait to see it.

24 equipment: That 70s Truck

Used in episodes 4 and 5 this old delivery truck served as bomb diversion at ontario airport, as escape S.W.A.T. truck for the bad guys and official S.W.A.T. truck for the task force working with CTU to attend the hostages crisis. Sure the producers put this truck to work :).

Hour 1 to 2 pm: Taking Justice Into Your Own Hands

24 pushed the envelope of evil dom with Russler: an old guy that is a top player in the subversive world with a fixation for young girls?, what else can you ask for?, this guy is despicable, pervert, low and many other things that comes to my mind and I rather not say, good the chick got her vengeance, we all have been there and seen that, remember season 1 and Palmer's assistant affair with one of his hunters?. If you haven't seen season 1 is time to hit the video or electronics store, at least wait for this season to end in order to use it as a bridge while waiting for season 6 (yep FOX has signed for it).

President Logan is officially lost, this gentleman is play-doh in anyone hands and is about to be casted by his wife. She is up for no good and she will surely play a Lewinsky on her husband. Although this is kind of a gut reaction without any second thought will spell doom for her lifestyle, is small price to pay for what he did to her. At least it will send a clear message to president Logan: "Quit Politics!!!!". Where Walt the Weasel failed Martha's will succeed.

Mike learned his lesson when he turned his back on President Palmer on season 2, he will not stand there watching Martha placing him in the unemployed line. I think he most likely "ordered" to kill Walt to take care of the problem from it's root.

So, the Weasel is dead, ding dong the witch is dead!!!. Serves him right, I'm not going to miss him at all, traitors deserve worse.

Seems that in 24 every CTU leader has a troublesome personal life (and who doesn't in real life without being a leader), lets see, Mason's son didn't talk to him, Erin's daughter suffered schizophrenia (I think) and McGill sister is a junkie, is there a connection between being kind of successful and have troubles at home?, maybe there is no connection but work make wonders on keeping people minds busy.

Spencer comes back to the scene as an useful idiot, he helps Jack and Curtis from being slaughtered and all he gets is a kick in the ass, he was following orders and was cleared, he could have gotten a promotion and get to be everyone else boss, but his boss got screwed and that's how office politics work.

Edgar smiling when they took Spencer away?, keep dreaming pal, I don't think you are anywhere close to Chloe's league (if there is one at all).

Somebody said specialization is for insects but in 24 it doesn't work that way, we have had nuclear technicians, computer hackers, guided missiles techs and now Russler as a remote controlled warfare guru. Job market in 24 doesn't suffer of shortages when it comes to evil affairs.

Seems Kim Bauer is set for a return, Jack asked Audrey to get her to CTU for him to say good bye. At least the girl will have some closure after the shock of realizing her dad wasn't dead at all, weird ain't it?.

THE NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! FACTOR:

Although the needed bad guy is killed again, you can't stop from jumping off the seat wondering what the heck CTU is going to do. I give it a 5 out of 10.

THE TINP COMMENT:

Is difficult for me seeing high tech terrorists having phone conversations without any sort of encryption, Marwan used it and made CTU's lives miserable, what happened to these guys, couldn't they buy one of those systems from Ebay?.

Sure land lines are theoretically easier to trace back but using direct communications when they are talking about an "Axis Delivery System" seems a little off, these "terrorists" are either hacks or plain dumb.

Another issue was Jack and Curtis facing a guard with an automatic weapon. Every security expert out there advices to never face a guy if he has an automatic weapon and you don't. More awkward was Curtis getting shot just once.

24 Toys: Mike Novick's Blackberry

24 is full of gadgets, without them the evildoers would get away with it.

The Blackberry has become one of the many "indispensable" devices for the business man on the go. Some people say Vice President Dick Cheney has one and FOX's American Dad used this fact as part of one of its sub-plots.

This is a snapshot of Mike having an Instant Messaging conversation with Jack for them to talk on the phone and arrange a meeting. This particular model is the 7250, if you want to know how I figured it out just write a comment and I'll post the answer there.

FYI: These devices can be tapped as any other communication apparatus so keep it in mind when you use them and MORE if the blackberry belongs to the company you work for.

Hour 12:00 to 1:00 pm: The end of the weasel

Pop went Walt "The Weasel" Cummings, I was like "pop that eye .... pop that eye..." when Jack was giving him his interrogation special. I was baffled with the president response on Walt's explanation, he indeed was easy to manipulate but never thought he was such kind of a puppet. Walt proved to be an idiot bigger than I thought, how can he deal with theives?, if you are going to pull strings make sure you have them in your hands. In the effort of pulling an "Iraqui WMD threat" his "plan" backfired and now is every man for himself.

Based on my last hour post I got it right, a "coup d'etat" was in place and it triggered the primary directive of a secret service agent: "protect the president of the United States", based on that Pierce acted to his best to aid Jack, he is more of a company man than Jack, he doesn't assume or acts on his instinct but did heck of a job.

And is the dog house for you Mr. President, I highly doubt you will be welcome in your bedroom anytime soon. Sending the wife to a mad house by others recommendation is a big NO NO, the smart husband gives his troublesome wife a credit card, a trip or a new car and slips a pill within meals to keep everything happy.

At some point of this episode I thought I was watching "Day of our lives", the love triangle, the "you love her but she loves you?" and so on got me wondering: "Hellooo the man is working here", think they have made a point that Jack has a heart but please leave the man alone, his mind is on the game and his eyes on the prize right now.

McGill got a reality check when Bucanan played his experience card and he was right, nothing bad at all, the guy is learning the trade. They made a point keeping Bucanan on the experience grounds, going maverick at CTU is common procedure: "Whatever it takes to get the job done" you know, certainly you can get thrown in jail if you pull a Tony but if you do it for the good of your country as a base you might get a presidential pardon.

Is better to have nothing than losing it, but there is nothing worse than losing it AGAIN, is none for each of you Diane and Audrey, Jack said it: he will disappear when all of this is over. Seriously, Jack's line of work doesn't allow family or anything alike, they become a liability and Jack learned that from season 1. There is a vague chance he could take any of them into the anonymous realm but I don't think they would accept it.

One thing that got me thinking was Mike's reaction when Jack told him about president Palmer death, was it a case of bad acting or are his hands dirty?. Mike have been wanting to be first player in the presidential race, think he could make a move soon.

Tony dissapeared off the radar on this episode, he maybe will be the ace of spades for what is next on 24, maybe not.

It will be 2 hours before they hit the objective, which obviously is not Moscow.

THE DYST COMMENT:

Did you notice Diane's watch reads 4:10 while we are in hour 12:00 to 1:00 pm, well it happens in the better of the productions so carry on.

ON THE NEXT 24:

Who is that person raising slowly from behind the bed?, it looked like Nina but she is dead as Frank Sinatra, could it be Mandy?, is a thin person that's for sure, who might be "coming back" to 24?.

Jack is a goal driven guy but he finds the way to keep himself busy, the president appears asking him for help, if I was the president I would get my toothbrush and say "I'd better stick with you Jack, I'll be safer even if bullets fly over my head".

Hour 11:00 am to 12:00 pm: The mole that was not

This episode was the aftermath of the events at the airport and the start of the nerve gas takedown operation. There were still questions in the air like who knew Jack was alive, he says he talked with Palmer over somebody at Logan's administration being behind him, a phone wiretap or an eavesdropping maybe?

Oh Martha, Cherry Palmer good twin, you go girl, don't let them step over you, if you don't get answers you go out and find them, by a moment I thought you were a goner but you have more guts than a stunt double.

McGill keeps gaining my respect, this guy is 0% guts and 100% facts, he is not looking to get a promotion on pointing fingers and asking stupid questions, he is there to face a crisis and solve it, giving Jack clearance was proof of his integrity and professionalism, we really need more guys like him. But wait, this is 24, could McGill be gaining everyone else trust for him to give the lethal blow when nobody expects it?, you know what they say: "if it is too good to be true maybe it is".

Audrey came out of the shock she has been for the first 4 episodes and talked to Jack, they raised a very good advise, don't go to sleep mad at anyone because it could be the last time you'll see that person, now we are tomorrow who knows. This encounter was kind of awkward but finally they closed that chapter, how that relation will evolve now Diane is there is yet to come, it's gonna be a hard choice, each woman has something in favor and I'd hate to be in Jack's shoes when the moment comes.

Out of the blue Edgar and Chloe had an argument on they keeping secrets from each other, kind of odd because I've never seen any sample of such friendship before, maybe when Edgar's Mom died but back then it was an act of sympathy by Chloe.

Spencer wasn't the mole everyone expected, he was following orders. This proves one point: CTU is still vulnerable and from the top, who would be able to control such kind of power?, that was and still is a very realistic thing to put on the show, power is handled good or bad by those who are in charge. At first I was confused on Spencer cover being blown off, I said to myself, that's too obvious, thought that 24 was jumping the shark but happily it was managed in a different way.

Finally some news about Tony, seems he will make it, does he have the key to what is going on?, he has a motive to put himself on scene and with a vengeance, can't wait to see the dynamic duo (Jack and Tony) back at work again, more when any of them are CTU.

THE NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! FACTOR:

We almost get a miss here, Jack being close to get shot and then stabbed was a VERY tense moment, athough Jack took a pretty bad beating there he came out OK. This was one of the best hand to hand combat in 24, I give this a 6 out of 10.

THE TINP COMMENT:

How is possible somebody can come close to the first lady, do something to her and go unnoticed?, Martha's assistant is not secret service, for what we have seen, how nobody was close to her and say "hey, I saw a John Doe coming out from that room". Very weird indeed.

THE ODD DIALOGUE:

(Spencer and Chloe arguing)

Spencer: "Nobody talks to me like that."

Chloe: "Really, I just did."

ON THE NEXT 24:

Seems like a 'coup d'etat' will hit 24, Cummings saying he was a patriot was a declaration of war... of the civil kind, this plus the fact we see Jack apprehended makes me think the president they are talking about is not Logan, well, president Logan is not the most fitted politician in the history of 24, he had proven to be easy to manipulate and maybe is him after all.

Hour 10:00 to 11:00 am: Buchanan meets the Trump: "You are fired"

So far so good, this episode brought the end of the hostage situation. Is good to see the series is moving on fast and keeping a nice rhythm.

Curtis deployed his team like a clockwork orange, Jack can retire in peace knowing that Curtis is there to deal with field operations.

Audrey still looks like an 18 wheeler ran her over, poor gal, she is really struggling on getting herself together and realizing Jack was not dead, like Batman all Jack girls suffer from the relation with him.

Mr. McGill comes up to the plate to hit Buchanan out of the park (I really wouldn't mind see Buchanan go). McGill brings to the table something fresh and is his involvement with the operations, he is not just giving orders left and right, this guy rolls his sleeves up and gets dirty, reminds me of Mason (from seasons one and two). McGill seems like a good replacement for Buchanan, think is time for him to go back to division and push papers, CTU really needs of leaders and after Alberta and Erin this guy is the best bet. He is tough but has some ethics and that's great.

Back to the Social Engineering point, it was the turn of Walt "The Weasel" Cummings to use this on his advantage, he seriously scared the crap out of Martha's assistant threatening her with prison if she didn't tell him what Martha got from the archives room. My piece of advice to anyone on this kind of situation is: talk to your boss, don't get scared, Martha has much vouching power than Walt just for one simple reason: she sleeps with the president, want more?.

This episode also gave me an idea: why the Russians didn't use Jack as leverage to coerce the US government threatening to prove to the Chinese Jack was still alive, at this point hostages would be useless and could have been let go. If the Russians knew Jack was still alive they should also knew the incident with the Chinese (somehow, I guess). How they knew Jack was alive is still the big question.

No news on Tony's condition, 2 hours have passed since they started the operation on him.

THE DYST COMMENT:

CN3 news channels showed the "dull" sign of the treaty ceremony and FOX News covered the gory events at the airport, this was art imitating life all right.

There was a poster close to where Jack was held where you can see kind of old airplane flying over a field that is being burnt, I have to see that again to figure it out.

Lots of images from future episodes and the shocker: nerve gas is the next big threat for 24. Time to hit the old army surplus store.

Hour 9:00 to 10:00 am: Martha "Hillary" Logan is in da house

This episode dealt with the hostage situation at the Ontario airport, gore and shots were the main events here plus some tense moments.

Terrorist in 24 are getting meaner by the season but as always Jack was the right guy at the right place at the right moment and he was fit for it.

The main character of this hour was Martha (president Logan's wife), she can be on drugs but she is not a dumb trophy wife, that's for sure, on second thought, no dumb girl lassoes a prospect like a potential vice president just by her charm. Her idea on getting the security card to the archives was brilliant. This was a great example of Social Engineering, she coerced the poor guy on giving up his card or getting sent to a small detention cell in Guantanamo Bay, sex is power. Is good to see her character overcoming her health condition to get to the bottom of the problem, good for her. Also, now you know who wears the pants on this relation.

As in previous episodes the body count keeps going up, we have had deaths on each episode so far. Will we get desensitize before so much killings?, Will these situations lose their impact later on?, I just hope the producers keep this trend from going up else I'll have to wear a raincoat with so much bloodshed.

I'm still wondering what held Palmer on letting more people know about the attack, so far this isn't the Palmer we knew, unless he was indirectly responsible for what is to come and he fell he could do something to fix it up, this is something to keep in mind as the series advances.

THE TINP COMMENT:

Watching president Logan arguing with Buchanan over the news he is watching on TV was kind of odd, the president got to have a direct feed that communicates him with authorities in charge to get real time updates doesn't he?.

THE WTF FACTOR:

Checking on the Internet I got pictures of the Ontario Airport, as you see, there is not much of resemblance with what we saw on this episode. The airport on the episode looked more like the one in Burbank. I agree that with all the security issues nowadays shooting a TV series at an airport have to be close to impossible and unbearable.

I posted this factor on the doubt of the fire department suburban you can see for a few seconds at the beginning of this episode, it reads something like Los Angeles fire department but a yellow fire truck on the scene reads Ontario Airport, I said to myself WTF?. The Ontario airport is under the jurisdiction of the Los Angeles World Airports though, so there is room for doubt here (any comments are welcome).

I give this a 1 out of 10.

THE ODD DIALOGUES:

I understand that there is an on going criminal investigation and CTU wants to catch Jack one way or another but broadcasting and delivering Jack photos and info left and right could alert the laziest of the Chinese spies on American soil. Just the little fact of going to war with the biggest military force on earth would keep me to yelling at the four winds that we need to capture Jack Bauer, maybe a task force of trustees and some codenames could have helped.

I really didn't want to include this little fact on my main comments because I go with the flow. I mean no disrespect to the show executives or anyone related to it.

Hour 8:00 to 9:00 am: Look who is selling out too

This episode brought more light on what is to come, kind of a bridge episode with hell of a twist at the end.

I have to admire Jack because he doesn't lose focus, sending Derek and his mom back to CTU with the purpose of confirming his alibi was simply awesome. Jack should be the Anthony Robbins of multitasking.

Edgar is back again on the scene pitching and catching requests at CTU and being kind of obnoxious, 18 months have not been enough for him to change/upgrade his wardrobe (good for the CTU and their dressing code), maybe Erin's promise of a raise didn't materialize even in the way of a recommendation for him. The funny fact is that his reactive attitude towards work jeopardized the location of Chloe and Jack, think you lost some points with your boss Edgar, better start updating your resume :).

Martha is back on the wagon with her medications, maybe we won't hear from her in a while, although doctors recommend caution when people take their pills after dropping their use, lets see where this is headed to.

This episode shows once again how terrorists are committed to their goal and how they are willing to kill themselves if they have to, seems like they carry cyanide pills as I carry tictacs. Never fear Jack is here.

THE NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! FACTOR:

I give this a 7 out of 10, the other 3 were the curses I yelled at security chief Walt Cummings. Yet another guy sells out in 24, things like integrity and values are things of the past, is all about the "bling, bling" or the "Benjamins".

At the end everyone has a price and the CTU haven't learn from the old saying "fear the enemy within", well "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it", hey Buchanan stop chasing your coworkers and do some work will you?.

Remember Palmer questioning Walt's integrity on season four?, well seems Logan will need a medium to get some advice if he wants to end this season in one piece.

THE TINP COMMENT:

After all Jack has done for his country and the CTU I conceive impossible and laughable the fact of somebody casting a shade of doubt on him, remember guys this man lost his wife over a CTU affair, dropped the chance to make himself multimillionaire in a deal with the drug dealers, developed a drug addiction to avoid blowing his cover while working and suffered a heart attack on the line of duty. Seems the CTU is better on pointing fingers than getting facts, nobody questioned the authenticity of the video or checked it if for digital alterations, did somebody take fingerprints on that doorknob?, NO, they made of the situation a witch hunt. CTU fell for the doctored tapes on season two and now falls for this, who is their technology provider?. If people question those who go postal on the workplace maybe this will open their criteria on this problem.

Chloe leaving a traceable link back to her while connecting to CTU's main servers?, ok we are humans and we commit errors under pressure, I could let that go, but isn't a work code violation logging into the system with an account that is not yours?, sure it is not a big deal at many workplaces but this is CTU, any possible security breach should count.

Hour 7:00 to 8:00 am: The end of Camelot hits 24

ATTENTION: Some spoilers ahead, if you live in a place where the premiere of season 5 was not broadcasted this is the wrong blog to read.

24 have delivered and in what a way!!!, the well promoted shock in the fist 10 minutes were indeed "blown away" first 15 minutes. The opening wasn't just a multimillion dollar super elaborated action sequence but a well crafted tragedy and what is a drama without tragedy?. This episode was simply genius.

For me Palmer melancholy worked both ways, maybe he was regretting something that he did and he was saying good bye to the audience, is very sad to see him go but I think it is for good. On the regret point I have to add something I heard once: "You mostly don't regret on what you did, you regret on what you didn't do" or so it goes. Thank for the memories Mr. Dennis Haysbert

Jack as always is ready for the action once again, the good friend and company man puts himself on the line now to "avenge" the death of the one he put his life before anything else, he is a guy on a mission and you better stay out of his way, the hero has returned.

The new season brings new characters but the one that takes the cake is Derek, for me this is the official Kim Bauer replacement, this odd guy will surely fill 24 of "don't go that way" situations, how that works is still to come, I personally ended season 2 not liking Kim a lot.

Chloe, the uber geeky hacker at CTU, is shown having an office affair with one of her employees, it works at so many levels that I'll keep an eye on this. This proves Chloe is made of flesh and bones, she is not that insensitive sociopath and bitching coworker almost everyone relates to, she has a heart too, this is officially Chloe 2.0. The new version of Chloe comes with improved gun shooting capabilities, since season four this lady seems to have developed a taste for guns, make no mistake this geek knows how to take care of herself.

Squizoprenia, the disease of the 21st century, also stars in 24, Martha, the first lady, seems to suffer this condition and the enemy will use it to their advantage, Sun Tzu was right, know the enemy as thyself.

This episode makes me think of the integrity of president Logan, seemed he wanted to make his wife think other thing over her earlier phone conversation with Palmer to keep her out of the picture for an unknown reason, this plus the fact he wants the meeting with the Russian president at any cost shows a mysterious president Logan, seems he is not the fool I thought he was.

THE NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! FACTOR:

This definitely is a 10 out of 10, both deaths were surprising and shocking. In short all that I have to say is that the good indeed die young. RIP President Palmer, RIP Michele Dessler, you won't be forgotten, your contributions were priceless. Think these situations serve a good purpose for the series that maybe some won't agree to but this is where 24 excels, it exposes the reality of life and the changes it brings along, nothing lasts forever.

THE TINP COMMENT:

Maybe this is possible or not but agreeing on letting a president go out in the open with a gun tooting sniper killing an ex-president just few minutes ago seems like a BAD idea, maybe 24's world haven't heard of the Kennedy assassination. This was not something to put much attention to but worth mentioning IMHO.

THE DYST COMMENT:

At the early minutes of this episode when Curtis is talking with Buchanan you can see a guy walking in the hallway down of the office, he suddenly turns his head and keeps walking, could this mean another mole at the CTU?, if this is the case CTU should review it's hiring procedures, too many problems on this aspect in a short time span. I'll post a screen capture soon.

THE CURIOUS COMMENT:

The helicopter Jack takes says RESCUE on the side, sure it came to the rescue of Chloe.

Jacks watches the news of Palmer assassination on an old TV set where you can see CN3 news, but the big and fancy screens show FOX News, is this a hidden message against CNN?, who knows.

New Season New Rush!!!!

The new season of 24 doesn't let us down, we are surely in for a great roller coaster ride this new season. The show definitely nailed it and the producers have found very creative ways on how to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

I won't say anything else till the west coast finishes it's broadcast, so wait a little more to read why I really liked about these couple of great episodes.

24 is officially ON.

24 premiere preparedness tips

Just a reminder to the fans out there, this is going to be a 2 hours premiere followed by 2 more hours on Monday so better be ready than sorry.

Some valuable tips:

Plenty of fluids and snacks handy, 5 minutes for commercials sometimes is not enough to go to the kitchen and prepare something, trust me.
Check your TiVo for free available space and operation if you don't want to miss a thing.
If you are watching the premiere with first timers have a pre-show conversation with them so you won't have to explain things like why Jack is living underground or why he doesn't think twice to pull the trigger.
Drink from mugs or glasses with lids, drink spills are most likely to happen when you watch the show.

Also remember:

To tell your friends you maybe won't answer the phone while 24 is playing, unless you are planning for in-commercials phone conversations tell your friends to not take it wrong, this is a MUST for girlfriends or boyfriends.
To set your cell and home phone voice mails, explosions, gun shots and shattered glasses may not let you hear the phone rings.

Howdy all,

Season 5 of THE BEST DRAMA on TV is about to begin and I want to share my personal viewing experience with other fans out there, let the suspense begin.

I'm planning on commenting each episode "evaluating" them on various "categories":

The NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! factor, this is a measure of how many NOs I yell at each episode and how long they last with a maximum of 10, if you haven't yelled or jumped off your seat while watching an episode of 24 you must have ice in your veins.

The WTF factor, 24 is a great series but sometimes some situations makes you think WTF is going on here, if something doesn't feel right a WTF will come out, I recognize that running a TV series is a hard job and continuity errors or changes in the script/story line may happen for one reason or another. This factor has a maximum of 10.

The DYST (Did you see that?) comment, 24 is well known to hide various facts or hints on what is to come, they achieve that with characters micro reactions, like Tony's reactions in some scenes of the first season, many people thought he was the mole me included. 24 also uses back performances that sometimes you don't pay attention to like Ismael's on season 3 and the underground operation going on within the CTU. Is important to mention that we have to accept that these are mostly situations that may result in something or not so this is a good factor to pay attention to but with a grain of salt.

The TINP (This is Not Possible) comment, I never get tired of discussing about the CTU LA Headquarters bombing attack on Season 2, what really bothers me was that after the bombing they continued operations there, I still cannot conceive how they stayed at a place that was compromised structurally and physically, it wasn't that the building didn't collapse with such bombing, the building was penetrated and their location was fully disclosed, this is a counter terrorist unit, you are not supposed to know where it is, this kind of places have to have some level of secrecy, at least potential enemies use that as an advantage.

Maybe I'll add other factors as the series evolves, with 24 you don't have anything for granted and I'll bear with it.

I won't plan to republish or regurgitate spoilers on this blog, I want my 24 as surprising as possible but I would comment on the next episode preview, which I can't help to watch. So be warned on this one. If you post a comment and such is a spoiler please warn about it.
